From Georgetown, South Carolina, John Marshall Williams was born into a heritage of furniture retailers. By age eight, he began drawing floor plans on notebook paper and then selecting finishes from his father’s store to complete his “make believe” projects. John Marshall’s interest in design, color, texture and composition blossomed into a love for drawing, painting, flowers, cooking and party planning. This fascination of all things creative continued to grow and expand propelling him toward a career of artistic and technical excellence.

In 1995, John Marshall earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts specializing in Interior Design from FIDER accredited Winthrop University. His extensive studies included color, light, composition, art history, historic interiors as well as technical drawing, architectural integrity and function. Post graduation, he continued to live and practice in Rock Hill, South Carolina, where he was also involved in the Rock Hill Arts Council as well as fundraising events and galas for his alma mater.
Having returned to the low country in 2000, Interior Design remained his focus and passion. John Marshall lives in the heart of historic Georgetown, South Carolina, along with Sir George, where he continues his work in Interior Design and Fine Art.
